Job Summary
Hariss International is seeking a skilled and experienced Shift Electrical Artisan to support factory operations through installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and industrial equipment.
The successful candidate will ensure reliable power supply across the production facility, minimize electrical downtime, and maintain safe and efficient operation of electrical installations. The role requires strong technical knowledge in industrial electrical systems, machine wiring, motors, control systems, electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
The Electrical Artisan will work closely with engineering, production, and technical teams to ensure continuous manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Installation and Maintenance
  • Install electrical equipment, machines, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Carry out electrical wiring for new machines and factory installations.
  • Install and maintain power supply systems across the production facility.
  • Build new electrical connections and power distribution points where required.
  • Install cable trays and electrical support systems.
Electrical Troubleshooting and Repairs
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults affecting production equipment.
  • Test and repair faulty motors, electrical appliances, and industrial equipment.
  • Identify electrical failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Replace faulty electrical components including:
    • Lights
    • Circuit breakers
    • Conductors
    • Switches
    • Electrical accessories
Production Equipment Support
  • Provide electrical support during machine breakdowns.
  • Work with the engineering and IT teams during technical failures.
  • Maintain electrical systems for production machines and quality inspection equipment.
  • Ensure factory equipment receives reliable electrical power.
Preventive Maintenance
  • Conduct routine inspection of electrical installations and equipment.
  • Identify potential electrical risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance to reduce machine downtime.
  • Maintain electrical systems according to safety standards.
Safety and Compliance
  • Follow electrical safety procedures and industrial safety regulations.
  • Ensure safe handling of electrical tools and equipment.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Report electrical hazards and equipment risks to supervisors.
Technical Support
  • Provide assistance to other departments requiring electrical support.
  • Support installation of electrical systems for new projects.
  • Perform additional technical duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or related discipline.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in electrical maintenance, industrial electrical work, or manufacturing environments.
  • Practical experience with:
    • Industrial electrical systems
    • Machine wiring
    • Electrical motors
    • Power distribution
    • Electrical troubleshooting
    • Factory equipment maintenance
  • Experience in beverage manufacturing, FMCG, or production plants is an added advantage.

Ability to identify electrical faults, diagnose problems, and restore equipment operation quickly.
Machine Maintenance Skills
Knowledge of electrical components used in production machinery and industrial equipment.
Safety Awareness
Understanding of electrical safety procedures, workplace hazards, and safe maintenance practices.
Problem-Solving Skills
Ability to analyze technical problems and provide practical solutions under pressure.
Technical Communication
Ability to communicate electrical issues clearly with engineers, supervisors, and production teams.
Time Management
Ability to prioritize maintenance tasks and complete assignments within required deadlines.
Teamwork and Flexibility
Ability to work with different technical teams and support production requirements.
