Job Summary

The Field Services Engineer will provide hands-on engineering, diagnostic, and maintenance support to ensure the reliability and operational integrity of Fired Heaters and Annulus Gas Compressor systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, executing technical work orders, and preparing detailed engineering reports to support asset performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Execution
  • Perform preventive and corrective mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical maintenance activities.
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot Fired Heaters and Annulus Gas Compressor systems.
  • Carry out equipment checks to identify faults, wear, and performance issues.
  • Support equipment reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Execute maintenance activities according to approved procedures and safety requirements.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed within required timelines and quality standards.
Diagnostics & Work Orders
  • Conduct technical diagnostics and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
  • Execute assigned maintenance work orders using MaintainX CMMS software.
  • Record maintenance activities, equipment issues, and corrective actions accurately.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify recurring faults.
  • Support maintenance planning through accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Ensure proper closure of maintenance tasks within the computerized maintenance management system.
Technical Reporting
  • Prepare detailed technical reports covering asset performance and maintenance outcomes.
  • Document completed maintenance activities and equipment conditions.
  • Provide recommendations for improving equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and engineering documentation.
  • Communicate technical findings to supervisors and project management teams.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience working with energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial equipment is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and industrial maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as MaintainX is an added advantage.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and industrial work practices.
