The company is seeking a professional and reliable Hotel Driver to support guest transportation services, ensure safe movement of guests, maintain hotel vehicles, and provide excellent customer service.
Job Summary
The Hotel Driver will be responsible for transporting hotel guests to and from assigned destinations using company vehicles while ensuring safety, professionalism, and excellent guest experience.
The successful candidate will maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues, maintain accurate trip records, and comply with hotel transportation standards.
This role requires a responsible individual with strong driving skills, good communication abilities, customer service skills, and knowledge of Kampala routes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Transportation Services
The Hotel Driver will:
  • Transport guests safely to and from assigned destinations.
  • Provide professional and courteous transportation services.
  • Assist guests with transportation-related needs.
  • Ensure guests receive a comfortable and reliable travel experience.
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with hotel guests.
2. Vehicle Operation and Safety
Responsibilities include:
  • Operate hotel vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Follow all traffic laws and road safety regulations.
  • Maintain defensive driving practices.
  • Ensure safe passenger handling at all times.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle concerns immediately.
3. Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Support
The driver will:
  • Inspect hotel vehicles before and after trips.
  • Check vehicle cleanliness and general condition.
  • Monitor tire pressure and fluid levels.
  • Refuel vehicles when necessary.
  • Report vehicle maintenance requirements to management.
  • Ensure vehicles are ready for guest transportation.
4. Trip Documentation and Reporting
Duties include:
  • Record all trips before departure and after completion.
  • Maintain accurate transportation records.
  • Document vehicle incidents, damages, or accidents.
  • Submit reports to the supervisor or manager.
  • Maintain proper vehicle usage documentation.
5. Customer Service and Guest Relations
The Hotel Driver will:
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service.
  • Support guests with directions and travel information.
  • Maintain a positive image of Marriott through excellent service.
  • Handle guest interactions with courtesy and respect.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Ugandan Driving Licence.
  • Valid driving classes including Class B, C1, and D1.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Good knowledge of Kampala routes and surrounding areas.

Required Experience

  • Previous driving experience is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in hospitality, hotels, tourism, transport, or customer service environments is beneficial.
