Job Summary
Paper Toils (U) Ltd is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to support its warehouse, manufacturing, and logistics operations in Mukono. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently, handling materials, loading and unloading goods, and supporting the movement and storage of products within the company’s facilities.
This Forklift Driver job in Uganda is suitable for candidates with valid forklift operating certification, practical warehouse experience, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate forklifts and other authorized material-handling equipment.
  • Load and unload materials, products, and other goods from trucks and designated storage areas.
  • Move, stack, and position goods safely within the warehouse or production environment.
  • Inspect the forklift before use and report mechanical faults or safety concerns.
  • Follow warehouse, workplace safety, and material-handling procedures.
  • Ensure materials are handled carefully to prevent damage, loss, or accidents.
  • Support warehouse and logistics teams with efficient movement of stock and materials.
  • Maintain proper awareness of pedestrian areas, loading zones, and other workplace hazards.
  • Ensure forklift operations comply with company safety standards and applicable requirements.
  • Keep the forklift and assigned work area clean and orderly.
  • Record or report equipment issues, incidents, and operational concerns to the relevant supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of O’Level Certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid Forklift Operating License / Certificate.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • A Diploma is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing, logistics, material handling, or distribution is an advantage.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions accurately.
  • Good physical coordination and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, disciplined, and responsible approach to work.
