About the Role

The Data Scientist / Data Analyst will work closely with business, technology, and data teams to transform raw data into actionable business insights. The role involves building predictive models, supporting automation initiatives, and integrating analytical outputs into operational systems. The successful candidate will contribute to strategic decision-making by leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Apply data mining, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques to large structured and unstructured datasets.
Develop predictive models, including credit scoring, customer churn, customer segmentation, and propensity models.
Build and deploy machine learning solutions using Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
Utilize big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, HDFS, and Kafka for distributed data processing.
Perform data preparation, transformation, cleansing, and feature engineering to improve model performance.
Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
Support automation initiatives and improve operational efficiency through intelligent analytics.
Integrate analytical models into production systems while ensuring scalability and reliability.
Maintain high standards of data quality, integrity, governance, and security.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where analytics can drive business value.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
3–4 years of professional experience working with structured and unstructured data.
Strong understanding of machine learning, predictive analytics, statistical modelling, and data mining.
Proficiency in Python, R, SAS, SPSS, or similar analytical platforms.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and visualization tools.
Knowledge of ETL processes, data architecture, and database management.
Understanding of financial services data, banking products, and business intelligence solutions is an added advantage.
Experience in software development and data engineering practices is desirable.
