ABOUT THE ROLE

Eversend is seeking driven and tech-savvy Customer Support Specialists to join its team in Uganda or Kenya.
The successful candidate will serve as the voice of Eversend, supporting a growing customer base across Africa and beyond with speed, empathy, and expertise.
This is a full-time, shift-based role operating within a 24/7 rotational schedule, requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers via live chat and email.
  • Deliver timely, professional, and effective resolutions to customer inquiries.
  • Support English-speaking customers across Eversend markets.
  • Assist French-speaking customers where applicable.
Customer Guidance & Troubleshooting
  • Guide users through Eversend’s app and financial services.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues with clarity, patience, and professionalism.
  • Provide accurate information regarding products, services, and account-related concerns.
Escalation & Case Management
  • Escalate complex customer issues to relevant teams including:
    • Technology
    • Compliance
    • Finance
  • Follow up and ensure cases are resolved effectively.
Product Feedback & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify recurring issues and customer concerns.
  • Report trends and customer feedback to support product and service improvements.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Learning & Adaptability
  • Quickly adapt to new:
    • Product features
    • Policies
    • Procedures
  • Stay informed in a fast-paced fintech environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Must-Have Requirements
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken) at a professional level.
  • Previous experience in customer support.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, or a digital-first environment is preferred.
  • Strong technology skills with the ability to quickly learn new tools and platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including:
    • Night shifts
    • Weekends
    • Public holidays
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural and diverse work environment.

ADDED ADVANTAGE

  • Fluency in French (written and spoken) to support Francophone customers across West Africa.
  • Experience using customer support platforms such as:
    • Intercom
    • Zendesk
    • Similar customer service tools
  • Familiarity with:
    • Digital financial services
    • Mobile money platforms
    • Cross-border payment systems
  • Additional language skills relevant to Eversend markets.
