JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ACCOUNTANT – FINANCE JOB UGANDA 2026

• Maintain average receivable days at 30 days or less
• Present overdue receivables to CX department for follow-up with weekly reports to Group AR Lead, CX Manager, and Country Manager
• Respond to client queries within 24 hours
• Resolve customer disputes within 3 business days
• Maintain a dispute tracking log and monitor response times

• Issue invoices within 1 business day after receipt of complete billing data (POs, GRNs, receipts)
• Maintain 100% accuracy on all invoices
• Reconcile and share client statements weekly

• Maintain quarterly rolling receivable cash flow projections updated weekly
• Share projections with FP&A and CFO
• Ensure monthly current ratio is above 1.5

• Prepare management accounts by M+5
• Complete GL reconciliations by M+4
• Perform VAT vs revenue reconciliations by M+15 each month
• Share weekly AR reports with Group AR Lead, CX Manager, and Country Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum 2–3 years experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Multi-entity or regional finance experience preferred

• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Proficiency in billing, collections, and client relations
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Strong financial reporting and cash flow management skills
• ERP systems and accounting software proficiency
