JOB TITLE: IT SUPPORT INTERN

JOB SUMMARY
The IT Support Intern provides first-line technical support to internal staff and external clients, ensuring smooth daily system operations within a fast-paced fintech environment. The role involves troubleshooting basic IT issues, supporting user access, maintaining service quality, and contributing to system reliability.
The intern will gain hands-on experience in IT service management, client support, and fintech platform operations, supporting both internal users and external banking agents/customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Day-to-Day Client & User Support (Level 1 Support)
  • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Respond to client and staff queries via ticketing systems, email, or phone
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate complex cases
  • Support internal staff and external fintech platform users
2. System Setup & User Access Management
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding of users (account setup, access provisioning)
  • Configure laptops, applications, and digital tools
  • Support access to fintech systems and resolve login issues
3. Incident Logging & Documentation
  • Log and track IT issues using ticketing systems
  • Document troubleshooting steps and solutions
  • Maintain knowledge base articles and user guides
  • Ensure proper incident reporting and updates
4. IT Infrastructure & Asset Support
  • Assist in maintaining IT inventory (devices, licenses, assets)
  • Support routine system checks and monitoring
  • Help with hardware setup, upgrades, and replacements
5. Testing & Deployment Support
  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Support software updates, patches, and deployments
  • Report bugs and system usability issues
6. Client Experience & Service Quality
  • Ensure timely resolution of support tickets within SLA targets
  • Communicate technical issues in simple language to users
  • Support service improvement initiatives and feedback collection
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Recent graduate or awaiting graduation in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS basics)
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, DNS, connectivity)
  • Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting
  • Exposure to ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira) is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
