JOINT MEDICAL STORES (JMS) – ICT INFRASTRUCTURE & CYBERSECURITY OFFICER
Job Summary / Purpose
Joint Medical Stores (JMS) is seeking a highly skilled ICT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity professional to manage, secure, and optimize the organization’s IT infrastructure across on-premises systems, cloud environments, and Microsoft 365 platforms. The role ensures system availability, cybersecurity resilience, disaster recovery readiness, and compliance with ICT governance standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Server & Systems Administration
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments across Production, UAT, Staging, and DR systems.
  • Monitor system performance (CPU, memory, disk usage) and ensure stability.
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, and user authentication systems.
  • Apply security patches and updates following change management procedures.
  • Conduct regular server health checks and preventive maintenance.
Network Administration & Infrastructure
  • Configure and manage routers, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, and SD-WAN systems.
  • Monitor LAN/WAN performance including bandwidth, latency, and uptime.
  • Implement and maintain network segmentation and access control policies (NAC).
  • Ensure stable and secure enterprise connectivity across all sites.
Cybersecurity & Firewall Management
  • Configure and manage firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and security policies.
  • Monitor security logs, alerts, and endpoint protection systems.
  • Ensure secure remote access with MFA and VPN configurations.
  • Manage antivirus, endpoint security, and threat detection systems.
Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure
  • Manage hybrid environments integrating on-premise systems with Microsoft Azure.
  • Monitor cloud-based virtual machines, storage, and identity synchronization.
  • Support Microsoft Entra ID and Azure AD integration.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Implement and monitor backup systems and ensure daily backup completion.
  • Conduct periodic data restoration tests.
  • Manage disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP).
  • Conduct DR failover tests and document recovery performance.
ICT Support & Vendor Management
  • Manage ICT assets including servers, network devices, and infrastructure equipment.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers, ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Monitor service delivery and evaluate vendor performance.
  • Develop ICT knowledge base and user support documentation.
  • Conduct cybersecurity awareness and ICT training sessions.
Risk, Compliance & Financial Management
  • Conduct ICT risk assessments and mitigation planning.
  • Ensure compliance with ICT policies and regulatory standards.
  • Support budgeting and cost-efficient ICT procurement decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Second Upper or higher).
  • Minimum 4 years’ ICT support experience in infrastructure and cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, and security systems.
  • Valid academic transcript required.
Certifications (Required / Added Advantage)
  • CCNA (Required)
  • CCNP Enterprise (Advantage)
  • Cisco CyberOps Associate (Advantage)
  • Linux certifications (LPIC-1 / RHCSA / RHCE) (Advantage)
  • OSCP / eCPPTv2 (Advantage)
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator (Advantage)
  • ITIL Foundation v4 (Advantage)
  • CompTIA Security+ (Advantage)
