Stores Officer – C-Care Uganda
Job Summary
The Stores Officer is responsible for managing inventory and stock control across multiple C-Care IMC branches. The role ensures proper receipt, storage, distribution, and tracking of medical and non-medical supplies while maintaining optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted healthcare service delivery.
This role supports efficient inventory operations within C-Care Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stock Receipt & Verification
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming supplies.
- Ensure delivered items match purchase orders and specifications.
- Document and report discrepancies in deliveries.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records across all branches.
- Monitor inventory movement and update stock systems regularly.
- Ensure proper tracking of all medical and non-medical supplies.
3. Stock Distribution & Replenishment
- Coordinate distribution of stock between branches.
- Ensure availability of essential supplies at all locations.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely reordering requests.
4. Stock Monitoring & Reconciliation
- Conduct regular and periodic stock counts.
- Investigate and reconcile stock variances.
- Ensure accurate alignment between physical stock and system records.
5. Storage & Compliance
- Ensure proper storage conditions for all supplies, especially medical items.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and internal policies.
- Support safe handling and storage of sensitive inventory.
6. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management.
- Work closely with procurement and finance teams.
- Support audit and compliance checks when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in stores, inventory, or warehouse management.
- Experience managing multi-branch inventory is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
