Job Summary

The Shared Services Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing shared support services operations, ensuring efficient delivery of logistics, infrastructure, environmental, and operational support activities.
The successful candidate will monitor service performance, manage contractors, support cost optimisation initiatives, ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements, maintain operational records, and support continuous improvement across site operations.
This role requires a highly organised professional with strong leadership skills, experience in oil and gas operations, logistics coordination, civil engineering activities, and the ability to work effectively in a rotational site environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Compliance and Governance Management
The Shared Services Coordinator will:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain awareness of Uganda legislation and applicable operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX standards relating to system security and reporting.
  • Support implementation of internal controls across shared support services.
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation and compliance records.
  • Ensure activities align with company governance standards.

2. Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management

Responsibilities include:
  • Demonstrate commitment to company HSE policies and procedures.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across operational teams.
  • Ensure effective safety controls are implemented within shared services operations.
  • Promote compliance with the company’s 12 Golden Rules.
  • Participate in safety awareness campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor reported HSE incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support environmental protection initiatives.
  • Promote safe working practices across contractors and operational teams.

3. Operations Planning and KPI Management

The successful candidate will:
  • Monitor and optimise operational costs.
  • Review and improve operational procedures.
  • Support maintenance activities related to roads, pads, and site infrastructure.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Continuous Performance Indicators (CPIs).
  • Support development and implementation of improvement action plans.
  • Monitor service quality and operational performance.
  • Provide recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

4. Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence

The role will involve:
  • Identifying opportunities for improving operational processes.
  • Challenging existing practices to achieve better quality and cost efficiency.

  • Promoting resource optimisation.
  • Supporting waste reduction initiatives.

5. Shared Support Services Management

The Shared Services Coordinator will oversee activities including:

Required Qualifications
