KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and reconcile card transactions, chargebacks, digital banking, nostro, clearing, intercompany, and other suspense accounts on a daily basis.
- Ensure suspense items are resolved within set timelines and do not exceed allowed aging limits.
- Monitor outstanding entries and liaise with relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate reconciliation.
- Process settlements and ensure prompt reversal of exception transactions.
- Support branches in resolving ATM-related acquisition and settlement queries.
- Prepare and submit daily reconciliation reports and weekly aging analysis to the Unit Manager.
- Participate in reviewing reconciliation processes, controls, and procedures to identify improvements.
- Support automation initiatives to improve reconciliation efficiency and control environment.
- Prepare end-month reports and support Finance and other stakeholders.
- Identify, monitor, and report operational risks within the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Academic & Professional
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or any quantitative/mathematical-related field.
- Professional qualification in Accounting (added advantage).
- Master’s Degree in a business-related field (added advantage).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years total experience in banking operations.
- At least 2 years in general banking operations (essential).
- At least 1 year experience in reconciliation (desirable).

- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- High attention to detail
- Knowledge of banking operations and reconciliation processes
- Risk identification and control mindset
- Ability to work with deadlines and high-volume transactions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with banking systems and automation tools (advantage)
