Looking for banking sales jobs in Uganda? Stanbic Bank Uganda, through TrueNorth with funding from the Gates Foundation, is recruiting Project Sales Consultants – Sales Acquisition & Retention. This one-year renewable position focuses on expanding financial inclusion by acquiring women clients under the Stanbic for Her Programme, promoting banking products, and supporting sustainable economic empowerment across Uganda.

Job Summary
The Project Sales Consultant will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, promoting Stanbic Bank's financial products and digital banking solutions, onboarding new women clients, supporting financial inclusion initiatives, and achieving ambitious sales and project performance targets. The role combines business development, community engagement, customer relationship management, and project implementation to expand access to financial services.

The Project Sales Consultant will contribute to the programme's objective of reaching 1.5 million women through inclusive financial products and services.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Acquisition and Business Development
  • Acquire new women customers for Stanbic Bank.
  • Promote savings accounts, loans, insurance, and investment products.
  • Drive acquisition of individual and group bank accounts.
  • Register and activate FlexiPay wallets.
  • Recruit FlexiPay merchants.
  • Support SACCO digitization initiatives.
  • Promote Enterprise Online Banking services.
  • Identify customer financial needs and recommend suitable banking solutions.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build long-term customer relationships.
  • Provide professional financial advisory services.
  • Deliver excellent customer service before and after sales.
  • Increase customer activation and product usage.
  • Improve customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Community Mobilization
  • Mobilize women's groups and community organizations.
  • Engage SACCOs, cooperatives, SMEs, and local associations.
  • Conduct financial literacy and awareness campaigns.
  • Promote financial inclusion initiatives.
  • Increase participation in the Stanbic for Her Programme.
Project Implementation
  • Support delivery of programme activities.
  • Coordinate project milestones and field activities.
  • Ensure timely execution of project work plans.
  • Maintain high-quality project implementation standards.
  • Support donor-funded programme objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build relationships with community leaders.
  • Collaborate with SACCOs and cooperatives.
  • Work closely with project partners and internal teams.
  • Support engagement with local stakeholders.
  • Strengthen partnerships that enhance programme delivery.
Monitoring and Reporting
  • Track sales and acquisition performance.
  • Prepare timely project reports.
  • Monitor customer onboarding and product adoption.
  • Maintain accurate customer records.
  • Ensure compliance with donor and bank reporting requirements.
Compliance and Operational Support
  • Follow Stanbic Bank policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations.
  • Support operational activities within assigned regions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
  • Uphold high ethical and professional standards.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be measured through:
  • Number of new women customers acquired.
  • Individual accounts opened.
  • Group accounts established.
  • FlexiPay wallets activated.
  • FlexiPay merchants onboarded.
  • SACCOs digitized.
  • Loan portfolio growth.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Project Management, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Two to four years of experience in banking, financial services, sales, customer acquisition, business development, or relationship management.
  • Experience achieving sales and business growth targets.
  • Knowledge of banking products and digital financial services.
  • Experience working with women groups, SACCOs, cooperatives, or SMEs is an added advantage.
  • Experience coordinating projects or community programmes is desirable.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
