Job Summary
The People and Culture Officer will support the implementation of human resource strategies by managing recruitment, employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, payroll support, HR compliance, and organizational culture initiatives. The role also ensures compliance with employment laws, maintains accurate HR records, and contributes to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • Prepare and publish job advertisements.
  • Screen applications and coordinate interviews.
  • Support candidate selection and hiring.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new employees.
Employee Relations
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management.
  • Address employee concerns and workplace grievances.
  • Promote employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Support employee well-being initiatives.
Learning and Development
  • Identify employee training and development needs.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programmes.
  • Support employee career development initiatives.
  • Monitor training effectiveness.
  • Promote continuous learning across the organization.
Performance Management
  • Support quarterly performance management processes.
  • Assist employees in setting performance goals.
  • Coordinate performance appraisals.
  • Facilitate employee feedback sessions.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives.
Payroll and Employee Benefits
  • Assist in payroll preparation.
  • Support administration of employee benefits.
  • Ensure equitable distribution of employee benefits.
  • Maintain payroll-related records.
  • Coordinate benefit administration activities.
HR Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and employment regulations.
  • Support implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Promote workplace health and safety compliance.
  • Maintain compliance documentation for audits.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies.
Organizational Culture and Change Management
  • Promote the organization's values across all departments.
  • Support organizational change initiatives.
  • Encourage employee participation in culture-building activities.
  • Improve employee engagement during organizational transformation.
Vendor and Contract Management
  • Coordinate external HR service providers.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Support contract negotiations where required.
  • Monitor vendor performance.
HR Records and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR files.
  • Update Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS).
  • Prepare HR reports and key performance metrics.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee information.
  • Support HR data analysis and reporting.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
  • Support implementation of ESG initiatives.
  • Participate in sustainability programmes.
  • Promote responsible workplace practices.

Other Responsibilities
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Head of People and Culture.
  • Support continuous improvement of HR operations.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two to three years of progressive experience in Human Resource Management.
  • Hands-on experience using Human Resource Management Information Systems (HRMIS).
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.
