Job Summary

Harley’s Limited is seeking a Human Capital Executive – Uganda to support effective human resource operations, employee engagement, talent management, compliance, and workforce development.
The successful candidate will provide operational Human Capital support across areas including:
  • Recruitment and onboarding.
  • Employee relations.
  • Performance management.
  • Learning and development.
  • Payroll support.
  • Human Capital reporting.
  • Labour law compliance.
This role requires a proactive HR professional with strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and experience managing human resource functions in a fast-paced organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Human Capital Operations Support

The Human Capital Executive will:
  • Provide day-to-day HR operational support.
  • Support learning and development activities.
  • Assist with employee performance review processes.
  • Maintain employee records and HR databases.
  • Prepare Human Capital reports and dashboards.
  • Support payroll-related processes and documentation.

2. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment

Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting recruitment processes.
  • Drafting and reviewing job descriptions.
  • Shortlisting suitable candidates.
  • Coordinating interviews.
  • Conducting background checks.
  • Supporting employee onboarding activities.
  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure smooth hiring processes.

3. Employee Relations Management

The role involves:
  • Promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives.
  • Addressing employee concerns professionally.
  • Strengthening communication between employees and management.
  • Supporting initiatives that improve employee productivity and retention.

4. Policy and Labour Law Compliance

The Human Capital Executive will:
  • Ensure compliance with company HR policies.
  • Support adherence to Ugandan labour laws.
  • Maintain proper HR documentation.
  • Ensure HR processes follow regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews.

5. Human Capital Projects and Initiatives

Responsibilities include:
  • Participating in HR improvement projects.
  • Supporting implementation of Human Capital strategies.
  • Contributing ideas to improve employee experience.
  • Supporting organizational development initiatives.

6. Health and Safety Support

The role requires:
  • Supporting workplace health and safety initiatives.
  • Assisting the Health and Safety team with compliance activities.
  • Supporting emergency response planning.
  • Promoting safe working practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Human Resource Management.
    • Psychology.
    • Related discipline.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have:
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Human Capital/Human Resource management.
  • Experience supporting administrative HR functions.
  • Knowledge of HR operations within a professional organization.
Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or medical-related industries is an added advantage.
