SafeBoda is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Head of Product to lead product strategy, development, and execution while driving innovation across its applications and digital platforms.

Job Summary

The Head of Product will lead SafeBoda’s product development function by defining product vision, building strategic roadmaps, managing product teams, and ensuring delivery of innovative solutions that meet customer and business needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, engineering teams, designers, and business stakeholders to guide product strategy, prioritise features, improve user experience, and deliver high-impact products.
The role requires a strategic thinker with strong product management experience, customer-focused mindset, technical understanding, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced technology environment.
The ideal candidate should have experience building digital products, managing product roadmaps, analysing customer insights, and translating business goals into successful technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Development Leadership
  • Lead all areas of product development for SafeBoda applications, including product vision, roadmap planning, feature prioritisation, development, and user experience testing.
  • Define and communicate product direction aligned with company objectives.
  • Own product decisions and make strategic choices that maximise customer and business value.
  • Ensure product features are clearly defined before engineering implementation.
  • Champion product excellence across the organisation.
Product Team Leadership and Management
  • Lead and develop a growing team of product managers.
  • Work closely with the Head of Engineering and senior leadership to guide product development.
  • Coach team members and support professional growth.
  • Create a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure product teams deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.
Customer Discovery and User Experience
  • Act as the voice of the customer by understanding user needs and expectations.
  • Lead customer research and feedback collection processes.
  • Use customer insights to improve existing products and develop new solutions.
  • Oversee product testing, iteration, and user experience improvements.
  • Promote user-centred design principles across product development.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
  • Communicate product strategy, performance, opportunities, and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Serve as a bridge between business teams and engineering teams.
  • Translate business objectives into clear product requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment across teams.
Metrics, Analytics, and Performance Management
  • Define key product performance indicators (KPIs).
