Head of BI & Analytics Job in Uganda

• Develop and execute a multi-year Business Intelligence and Analytics roadmap aligned with company objectives.
• Drive analytics initiatives that support both ride-hailing and fintech operations.
• Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to monitor business performance.
• Ensure analytics capabilities continuously evolve to meet business needs.

• Design and implement enterprise-wide data governance policies and standards.
• Establish data classification, security, access controls, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Monitor data quality and maintain accurate documentation for all data assets.
• Ensure compliance with data governance best practices.

• Lead the architecture and management of SafeBoda's data platform.
• Oversee ETL pipelines, data warehouses, databases, and analytics environments.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of business intelligence infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize data systems and automation.

• Develop executive dashboards and real-time performance reporting systems.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Present analytical findings that support strategic planning and business growth.
• Enable evidence-based decision-making across the organization.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Operations, Product, and Technology teams.
• Embed data-driven decision-making into daily business operations.
• Support business units with advanced analytics and performance measurement.
• Promote organization-wide adoption of data and analytics.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Business Intelligence and Analytics team.
• Build technical capability through coaching and professional development.

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as:

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Science.

• Experience in high-growth technology, fintech, digital platforms, or e-commerce environments is highly desirable.
• Proven experience leading and building high-performing analytics teams.
• Strong background in business strategy, consulting, and data-driven transformation.
