The company manages a large transport network to support efficient delivery of products across different locations. Hariss International is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Fleet Tracker to join its Transport Department and support effective vehicle monitoring, fuel management, driver compliance, and logistics operations.
Job Summary
The Fleet Tracker will be responsible for monitoring company vehicles through GPS tracking systems, analyzing vehicle movements, tracking fuel consumption, monitoring driver performance, and ensuring compliance with transport policies. The successful candidate will support efficient fleet operations by identifying irregularities, reporting risks, and providing accurate vehicle movement reports to management.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Monitoring and GPS Tracking
- Monitor company vehicles using GPS tracking systems to ensure proper route adherence and operational efficiency.
- Track vehicle locations, movements, and activities in real time.
- Identify unusual vehicle movements, delays, unauthorized stops, and other road exceptions.
- Provide timely updates on fleet activities to the Transport & Distribution Manager.
Fuel Monitoring and Management
- Monitor fuel usage and vehicle consumption rates.
- Analyze fuel reports to identify possible fuel wastage, misuse, or irregularities.
- Immediately report suspected fuel theft or misuse to management.
- Prepare monthly fuel consumption reports for review.
Driver Performance and Compliance
- Monitor truck driver performance and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure drivers comply with company transport regulations and safety procedures.
- Identify driver-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Promote responsible vehicle usage and accountability among drivers.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare regular and comprehensive reports on vehicle movements, fuel consumption, and operational challenges.
- Compile monthly fleet performance reports.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle tracking activities and incidents.
- Report any transport-related problems to the supervisor.
Emergency Response and Support
- Coordinate responses to vehicle emergencies and unexpected incidents.
- Take immediate action when on-road exceptions are identified.
- Support transport personnel and field office vehicle movements.
Other Duties
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education Requirements
- Minimum of a Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of experience in fleet tracking, transport operations, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
- Experience working in a busy transport or distribution environment is an added advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
Fleet Management Skills
- Knowledge of GPS vehicle tracking systems.
- Understanding of fleet operations and transport monitoring procedures.
- Ability to analyze vehicle movement and fuel consumption data.
Computer Skills
- Strong computer proficiency, especially in:

- Data reporting and documentation tools

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, supervisors, customers, and internal teams.
