Electrical Artisan – Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective electrical maintenance activities.
• Maintain electrical systems and production equipment to ensure maximum availability.
• Inspect machinery and electrical installations to identify potential failures.
• Support equipment reliability improvement initiatives.
• Ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.

• Diagnose electrical and automation-related faults.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and production equipment failures.
• Carry out timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend permanent solutions.
• Support troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems.

• Participate in asset care programs to improve equipment performance.
• Monitor machine performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support initiatives aimed at increasing production efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Implement corrective actions to prevent repeated breakdowns.

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements.
• Follow Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (EOSH) standards.
• Maintain compliance with:
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Food safety standards
  • Quality management systems
  • Coca-Cola operational requirements
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely.

• Manage electrical spare parts effectively.
• Ensure availability of critical maintenance components.
• Support cost optimization through efficient maintenance practices.
• Reduce unnecessary equipment replacement and downtime costs.

• Provide technical support to production teams.
• Train operators on basic equipment care and fault identification.
• Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
• Participate in shift handovers and maintenance meetings.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Document repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
• Support maintenance scheduling and planning activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with Coca-Cola business systems and supply chain standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Industrial Electronics and Electrical Engineering
  • Related Engineering field
• Trade Test Certification in Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in FMCG manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Practical experience with:
  • Industrial electrical systems
  • Electric motors
  • Drives
  • PLC systems
  • Instrumentation
  • Automation systems
