Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive oral health examinations for patients.
• Review patient medical histories and assess dental health conditions.
• Provide professional dental consultations and treatment recommendations.
• Deliver compassionate and patient-centred dental care.
• Address patient concerns and provide guidance on available treatment options.

• Diagnose dental diseases and oral health conditions.
• Order, review, and interpret dental X-rays and other diagnostic tests.
• Monitor the development of teeth and jaws.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Assess treatment progress and provide follow-up care.

• Perform routine and advanced dental procedures including:
  • Dental restorations and fillings.
  • Tooth extractions.
  • Root canal therapy.
  • Scaling and polishing.
  • Preventive dental treatments.
  • Teeth whitening procedures.
• Administer local anaesthesia before dental procedures.
• Prescribe antibiotics and other medications where clinically appropriate.
• Repair or remove damaged teeth.
• Conduct regular dental check-ups and professional teeth cleaning.

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
• Provide instructions on caring for teeth and gums.
• Promote preventive dental health measures.
• Advise patients on post-treatment care and recovery.
• Encourage regular dental visits and healthy oral habits.

• Maintain strict infection prevention and control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with dental hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Follow national health guidelines and professional dental regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Ensure safe handling and sterilization of dental equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry or related dental qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional dental practice experience.
• Valid registration with the relevant professional dental regulatory body.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, oral diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Experience performing general dental procedures.
• Good understanding of infection prevention and clinical safety standards.
• Excellent patient management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
