KCB Bank Uganda – Collections Function Role Opportunity
Company: KCB Bank Uganda
Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement the Collections function strategy to achieve required NPL (Non-Performing Loans) percentage.
  • Monitor, manage, and control within budget or agreed guidelines:
    • Provision adequacy
    • Collections
    • Bad debt recoveries
    • Outsourcing activities
    • Operational expenditures
  • Lead the Corporate & Business Collections section to build and maintain a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal bank functions including:
    • Finance Department
    • Retail Department
    • Corporate Department
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as:
    • Debt collectors
    • Auctioneers
    • Court bailiffs
    • Lawyers
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and KCB Uganda recovery policies.
  • Monitor collection agency performance through regular reviews.
  • Allocate loan recovery portfolios to collections staff and agencies.
  • Manage loss and written-off accounts to reduce arrears or recover collateral in a timely manner.
