KCB Bank Uganda – Collections Function Role Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement the Collections function strategy to achieve required NPL (Non-Performing Loans) percentage.
- Monitor, manage, and control within budget or agreed guidelines:
- Provision adequacy
- Collections
- Bad debt recoveries
- Outsourcing activities
- Operational expenditures
- Lead the Corporate & Business Collections section to build and maintain a high-performing and motivated team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal bank functions including:
- Finance Department
- Retail Department
- Corporate Department
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as:
- Debt collectors
- Auctioneers
- Court bailiffs
- Lawyers
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and KCB Uganda recovery policies.
- Monitor collection agency performance through regular reviews.
- Allocate loan recovery portfolios to collections staff and agencies.
- Manage loss and written-off accounts to reduce arrears or recover collateral in a timely manner.
