CHAPERONE – 20 POSITIONS

• Notify athletes who have been selected for doping control testing in accordance with NADO-U guidelines and procedures.
• Escort selected athletes to the designated doping control station.
• Ensure athletes understand their rights and responsibilities during the sample collection process.
• Maintain appropriate observation of athletes throughout the athlete notification and escorting process.
• Assist Doping Control Officers with athlete handling and documentation procedures.
• Provide accurate information and support to athletes during doping control missions.
• Report any issues, refusals, delays, or unusual incidents encountered during athlete notification and escort.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect when interacting with athletes.
• Support anti-doping awareness, education, and outreach activities where required.
• Follow NADO-U policies, procedures, and instructions during all assignments.
• Perform any other duties related to doping control activities as assigned.

• A Diploma in any academic field from a recognized institution or university; OR
• An O’ Level Certificate together with a recognized certificate of training as an Anti-Doping Chaperone.

• Previous experience in anti-doping activities is an added advantage.
• Experience as an athlete is an added advantage.
• Knowledge or understanding of anti-doping procedures and clean sport principles will be beneficial.
• Ability to interact respectfully and professionally with athletes and sports stakeholders.
