Job Summary
True North Uganda is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Brand Promoter to support product promotion, customer engagement, sales, and brand awareness activities in Kampala. The successful candidate will demonstrate products, engage prospective customers, maintain attractive product displays, support sales activities, and accurately record promotional results.
This Brand Promoter job in Uganda is suitable for candidates with at least a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and 3–6 months of relevant retail or sales experience.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge and Promotion of Client Products
- Demonstrate and explain products, methods, or services to prospective customers.
- Engage customers and provide accurate information about promoted products.
- Persuade customers to purchase products or use promoted services.
- Distribute product samples, coupons, brochures, and other promotional materials.
- Answer basic customer questions and direct complex enquiries to the appropriate team.
- Create positive customer experiences that strengthen brand awareness and product visibility.
Shelf Health and Product Display
- Set up and maintain attractive product displays and demonstration areas.
- Arrange promotional materials to attract customer attention.
- Assemble and disassemble materials used during product demonstrations.
- Replenish products on shelves and maintain appropriate stock presentation.
- Keep promotional and working areas neat and organized.
- Return promotional materials and products to their correct locations after demonstrations.
- Support promotional activities in retail stores and other assigned locations.
Customer Service, Sales and Record Keeping
- Engage customers professionally and identify their product needs.
- Sell products being promoted and contribute toward assigned sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and promotional activities.
- Record demonstration-related information, including customer interactions and promotional materials distributed.
- Provide feedback about customer reactions, questions, preferences, and product performance.
- Report promotional activities and results to the Field Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE).
- 3–6 months of retail and sales experience within a relevant category.
- Previous experience in brand promotion, merchandising, retail sales, customer service, or field marketing is an advantage.
- Must have a phone with 128 GB ROM and RAM between 4 GB and 6 GB, as specified in the vacancy.
- Ability to work in retail and field environments.
- Strong interest in sales, marketing, customer engagement, and brand promotion.
