Action Against Hunger USA manages programs in several countries including Uganda, focusing on emergency response and long-term solutions to address hunger, climate change, conflict, and inequality.

Job Location

Nakivale and Kyangwali Refugee Settlements, Uganda

Available Positions

1. Nutrition Expert Officer

Responsible for implementing nutrition programs, supporting malnutrition treatment, and ensuring quality nutrition interventions in communities.

2. MERL & Digital Data Quality Officer

Responsible for monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL), ensuring high-quality digital data collection, analysis, and reporting systems.

3. Accountant

Responsible for financial management, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and supporting project financial operations.

4. Livestock Officer

Responsible for livestock production support, animal health interventions, and strengthening household livelihoods through livestock systems.

5. Agribusiness / Market Systems Officer

Responsible for improving market access, agricultural value chains, and supporting agribusiness development for vulnerable communities.

6. Sustainable Land Management Officer

Responsible for promoting sustainable farming practices, land restoration, climate-smart agriculture, and environmental conservation.

7. Entomologist

Responsible for pest and vector management, insect-related agricultural and environmental research, and supporting food security interventions.

8. Project Manager / Team Leader

Responsible for overall project leadership, coordination, implementation, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring delivery of project goals.

General Requirements

Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree depending on role
Experience in humanitarian or development programming
Strong field experience in refugee or rural settings preferred
Excellent reporting, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work in remote and challenging environments
Commitment to humanitarian principles and organizational values
