JOB PURPOSE & MAIN MISSION

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collection of original shipping documents from airline handlers
• Compile documents after entry capturing for physical customs processing
• Liaise with incharge customs for allocation of verification officers
• Represent importer/client at physical verification and ensure timely uploading of verification account onto system
• Re-seal packages to avoid missing items
• Update customer service team on progress of physical handling
• Follow up releases from NDA, MAAIF and UNBS authorities
• Ensure timely scanning of cargo prior to Customs Exit note
• Process cargo handling invoices with airline agents (Menzies and DAS) on AGL behalf
• Advise COM on type of trucks needed based on sight report
• Coordinate with transporters for truck positioning at loading area
• Ensure correct cargo is released from customs warehouse per entry
• Witness cargo loading and ensure no damages
• Verify at delivery desk in case of security/customs checks
• Notify COM of claims/shortages and obtain reports from handlers
• Write delivery notes as per company guidelines and issue to transporters
• Seal trucks and dispatch from airport
• Perform any other assigned duties by management

• Ensure all relevant documentation/exemptions are attached to minimize customs delays
• Obtain T1 for transit goods and ensure system departure
• Ensure full document sets accompany each shipment
• File, close and forward documentation to COM

• Report operational issues (major or minor)
• Share relevant business/environment information with management
• Update changes related to airport operations

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• At least 2 years’ experience in clearing operations

• Good knowledge of customs systems
• Customer service skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills

• Organized
• Attention to detail
• Dependability
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
