AYFI is seeking creative and passionate Video Editor Volunteers to support the successful delivery of the High-Level Youth Dialogue with Policy-Makers Summit. This volunteer opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in multimedia production, digital storytelling, event communications, and content creation while contributing to a high-profile youth leadership event.

Job Summary

The Video Editor Volunteer will support the planning, coordination, documentation, and promotion of the summit by creating engaging video content that captures key moments before, during, and after the event. The volunteer will work closely with communications, media, and event teams to produce high-quality videos for digital platforms, promotional campaigns, and stakeholder communications.
This role is ideal for students, graduates, and creative professionals interested in video editing, digital media, visual storytelling, social media content creation, communications, and nonprofit engagement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Video Production & Editing
  • Edit high-quality videos for promotional and event-related content.
  • Produce engaging highlight reels, interviews, testimonials, and recap videos.
  • Organise and manage raw video footage for post-production.
  • Add graphics, captions, transitions, sound effects, and music where appropriate.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with AYFI's branding and communication guidelines.
  • Deliver edited videos within agreed timelines.
Event Media Coverage
  • Support the documentation of summit sessions, workshops, and networking activities.
  • Capture memorable moments and success stories through video content.
  • Assist with live event media coordination where required.
  • Work closely with photographers and communications volunteers to ensure comprehensive event coverage.
Content Creation & Digital Communications
  • Develop engaging video content for social media platforms.
  • Support digital campaigns aimed at promoting youth leadership and policy dialogue.
  • Create short-form videos suitable for Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Contribute creative ideas to improve audience engagement.
Event Planning & Operational Support
  • Support the planning and implementation of summit activities.
  • Participate in volunteer orientation, training sessions, and planning meetings.
  • Assist with logistics and communications where necessary.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities professionally and efficiently.
Administrative & Documentation Support
  • Organise digital media files and maintain proper archives.
  • Assist in preparing media reports and event documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator or Team Lead.
Teamwork & Professional Conduct
  • Collaborate effectively with communications, media, and event teams.
  • Represent AYFI professionally throughout the volunteer assignment.

Minimum Qualifications
