Aldelia is seeking a qualified Smart Room – Maintenance Engineer to support maintenance optimization, asset reliability, digital monitoring, and engineering performance improvement within an oil and gas operational environment.

Job Summary

The Smart Room – Maintenance Engineer will provide technical leadership and engineering support for plant and equipment maintenance activities. The role focuses on improving asset reliability, reducing equipment downtime, optimizing preventive maintenance activities, and supporting digital condition monitoring systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance teams, contractors, planners, and operational departments to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance while maintaining compliance with HSEQ standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Compliance

  • Support implementation of the HSEQ management system, including:
    • Plans.
    • Procedures.
    • Technical specifications.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to:
    • Company safety rules.
    • Ethics policies.
    • Code of Conduct requirements.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) activities.
  • Provide recommendations to improve safety performance.
  • Ensure contractor activities comply with company HSE requirements.
  • Promote strict application of company Golden Rules.

2. Maintenance Engineering Support

  • Provide technical advice and engineering guidance to site personnel.
  • Support operation and maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Ensure safe and timely response to technical issues.
  • Minimize operational disruptions caused by equipment failures.
  • Provide direct technical support to maintenance teams.

3. Smart Room Maintenance Operations

  • Manage daily maintenance activities within the Smart Room environment.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with ongoing and planned site operations.
  • Provide work direction and technical guidance.
  • Monitor project and maintenance progress.
  • Support resource planning and prioritization of maintenance activities.

4. Preventive Maintenance Planning

  • Review and prepare maintenance look-ahead plans.
  • Balance available resources with upcoming preventive maintenance activities.
  • Manage monthly Preventive Maintenance Review processes.
  • Support maintenance planning teams in improving equipment availability.
  • Analyze maintenance backlogs and recommend corrective actions.

5. Breakdown Support and Fault Diagnosis

  • Provide initial support during equipment breakdowns.
  • Assist teams with:
    • Fault finding.
    • Repair strategies.
    • Vendor requirements.
    • Materials availability.
  • Review offline equipment status and ensure standby systems remain operational.
  • Track maintenance-related production losses.
  • Recommend solutions to improve equipment reliability.

6. Asset Performance Monitoring and Reliability Improvement

  • Monitor plant and equipment performance using digital tools.
  • Analyze equipment condition data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production performance.
  • Support predictive maintenance initiatives.
  • Collect and analyze asset health information.
  • Develop failure predictions using equipment performance data.
  • Optimize equipment failure thresholds using Smart Room dashboards.
  • Improve real-time monitoring based on operational conditions.

7. Maintenance Planning and Reporting

  • Support two-week look-ahead planning (2WLAP).
  • Coordinate integrated maintenance campaigns.
  • Monitor safety-critical equipment performance.
  • Prepare weekly safety outlook reports.
  • Review shutdown reports and ensure maintenance actions are completed.
  • Provide regular maintenance performance updates.

8. Contractor and Stakeholder Management

  • Develop effective working relationships with:
    • Site teams.
    • Contractors.
    • Suppliers.
    • Technical managers.
  • Monitor contractor performance.
  • Identify opportunities to:
    • Reduce maintenance costs.
    • Improve service quality.
    • Increase operational efficiency.
  • Participate in:
    • Daily morning calls.
    • Weekly maintenance meetings.
    • Monthly performance meetings.

Qualifications and Requirements

Academic Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) or equivalent in:
    • Mechanical Engineering.
    • Electrical Engineering.
    • A related engineering discipline.

Professional Experience

Required experience:
  • 8–10 years’ experience in oil and gas processing or operations.
  • Strong knowledge of:
