Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure timely financial reporting in line with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide financial information to support business decisions.
• Prepare financial forecasts and reports.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets.
• Provide recommendations for improving financial efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements.
• Support preparation for internal and external audits.
• Maintain compliance with tax and regulatory obligations.
• Ensure financial processes align with company policies and accounting standards.

• Strengthen internal financial controls and procedures.
• Review payment processes and financial approvals.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of accounts.
• Monitor financial systems and reporting accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff.
• Review accounting work and ensure quality standards.
• Support professional development of finance team members.
• Promote accountability and teamwork within the finance department.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Commerce
  • Related field

• CPA (U)
• CPA-K
• ACCA
• Equivalent accounting qualification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a senior accounting or supervisory role.
• Experience in any of the following sectors is highly desirable:
  • Construction
  • Telecommunications
  • Engineering
  • ICT solutions
  • Project-based organizations
