The company is expanding its operations and requires a Finance Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, cash-flow management, reporting, fundraising, and investment-related activities.

Job Summary

The Finance Analyst will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to provide accurate financial analysis and insights that support business decisions and financial performance.

The successful candidate will develop financial models, prepare forecasts and budgets, monitor cash flow, analyse business performance, support investor and lender reporting, and contribute to fundraising and investment analysis.

This position requires strong analytical abilities, financial modelling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning and Analysis
 
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, budgets, and business planning tools.
  • Support annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes.
  • Conduct budget-versus-actual analysis and investigate significant variances.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance to identify trends and business drivers.
  • Prepare unit economics and other financial analyses to support management decisions.
  • Conduct scenario, sensitivity, and other financial analyses as required.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve financial performance.

2. Cash Flow and Financial Management
 
  • Prepare and maintain regular cash-flow forecasts.
  • Monitor liquidity, expenditure, cash requirements, and funding needs.
  • Analyse short- and medium-term cash-flow requirements.
  • Identify potential cash-flow risks and funding gaps and escalate them appropriately.
  • Support effective budget monitoring and financial planning.
  • Provide financial information to support working-capital and resource-allocation decisions.

3. Financial and Stakeholder Reporting
 
  • Prepare financial reports for management, the Board, investors, and lenders.
  • Support operational and financial performance reporting.
  • Ensure financial information is accurate, consistent, and presented clearly.
  • Assist with responses to investor and lender information requests.
  • Compile financial information required for internal and external reporting processes.
  • Support the CFO in preparing financial presentations and management reports.

4. Fundraising and Investment Analysis
 
  • Support fundraising and financing activities through financial modelling and analysis.
  • Prepare supporting financial materials for potential investors and financing partners.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial information for investor and financing processes.
  • Analyse investment opportunities, business cases, funding requirements, and expected returns.
  • Support financial due diligence processes.
  • Assist with grant applications and other funding opportunities.
  • Contribute to analysis of potential financing structures and their financial implications.

5. Finance Business Partnering
 
  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Product, ESG, and other departments.
  • Analyse operational information and translate it into meaningful financial insights.
  • Support cost management and resource-allocation decisions.
  • Help departments understand the financial impact of operational decisions.
  • Improve the quality, availability, and use of financial and operational information across the business.
  • Act as a reliable finance partner to non-finance teams.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications
 
Applicants should have:
 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, FP&A, investment banking, transaction advisory, consulting, or a similar analytical finance role.
  • Strong financial modelling and spreadsheet skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet tools.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate financial analysis clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
