Position

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Grow the Bank’s Trade Finance portfolio through acquisition of new Corporate and SME clients.
• Expand relationships with existing customers to increase business opportunities.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of Trade Finance business.
• Achieve assigned Trade Finance sales and portfolio growth targets.
• Mobilize Trade Finance-related deposits to support business profitability.
• Onboard new Trade Finance customers in line with business objectives.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with Corporate and SME clients.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the client journey.
• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain comprehensive engagement reports.
• Cross-sell and up-sell Trade Finance and other banking products.
• Advise customers on suitable Trade Finance solutions.
• Ensure timely handling of customer requests and transactions.

• Facilitate smooth processing of Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Bills for Collection, Standby Letters of Credit, and other Trade Finance products.
• Work closely with Operations, Credit, Risk, Compliance, and Branch teams.
• Monitor transaction pipelines and customer limits.
• Ensure accurate collection of Trade Finance fees, commissions, and related charges.

• Maintain a high-quality Trade Finance portfolio.
• Monitor overdue accounts and minimize portfolio risk.
• Identify potential credit concerns and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and internal banking policies.
• Maintain portfolio performance within approved risk thresholds.

• Prepare timely Trade Finance performance reports.
• Maintain accurate customer files and transaction records.
• Report portfolio growth, customer acquisition, and business performance to management.
• Ensure complete documentation for all customer relationships.

• Participate in Trade Finance training programs and workshops.
• Complete all mandatory compliance and professional development courses.
• Share Trade Finance knowledge across the Bank where required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications in Trade Finance, International Trade, Credit Analysis, or Corporate Banking are an added advantage.
• 
  

Experience Required

• At least 5 years of relevant experience within the financial sector.
• Minimum 3 years of banking experience in Trade Finance, Corporate Banking, Relationship Management, Business Development, or Credit.
• Proven success in customer relationship management, portfolio growth, and business development.
•
