Premium Collection Officer (Temporary) Job Opportunity at Prudential Uganda

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Track billed insurance premiums and monitor collection performance.
• Follow up on failed direct debit transactions to maximize premium recovery.
• Monitor unpaid and lapsed policies and support efforts to improve policy uptake.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of premium collections and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate records of premium collection activities.

• Engage with clients to resolve premium payment issues professionally.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding premium payments.
• Support customer retention through effective follow-up and service delivery.

• Prepare reports on premium collections, outstanding balances, and recovery performance.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and operational standards.
• Assist in improving premium collection processes and operational efficiency.
• Support the Operations Department in achieving collection targets.

• Identify opportunities to improve collection processes and customer experience.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental objectives.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant work experience, with at least one year in a similar premium collection, finance, accounting, or collections role.
• Experience in the insurance, banking, financial services, or related sector is an added advantage.
• Experience working in a fast-growing, highly commercial, and digitized environment is preferred.
• Multinational work experience is an added advantage.
