1. Role Summary & Objectives
We are seeking two (2) strategic, relationship-driven Volunteer Partnerships Strategists to help build and grow a robust partnership ecosystem. In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership, field outreach teams, and campus ambassadors to strengthen program delivery, expand organizational reach, and unlock funding and co-branding opportunities.
2. Key Responsibilities
  • Institutional & Community Partnerships: Build and manage key relationships with universities, student groups, non-profits (NGOs), government bodies, and corporate entities.
  • Wekume Rewards Ecosystem: Identify and onboard student-focused brands and commercial businesses into the Wekume partner network.
  • Fundraising & CSR Engagement: Connect with institutional donors, philanthropic foundations, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) departments to generate funding.
  • Proposals & Pitching: Assist in drafting winning proposals, pitch decks, sponsorship decks, and tailored grant applications.
  • Health Referral Networks: Form and cultivate technical referral networks with specialized healthcare providers and SRHR organizations.
  • Campaign & Activation Support: Co-lead campus activation drives, public awareness campaigns, and youth community events.
  • Analytics & Performance: Define, track, and report on strategic engagement metrics across all partner tiers.
3. Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in strategic partnerships, business development, fundraising, or public relations.
  • Demonstrated track record across at least two of these areas:
    • Institutional Donor Engagement & Grant Writing
    • Government Liaison & Advocacy
    • Higher Education & University Partnerships
    • NGO & Corporate Alliances / CSR Management
  • Strong skills in proposal drafting, stakeholder negotiation, and public pitching.
  • Deep commitment to and understanding of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) challenges facing youth.
  • Ability to articulate value propositions effectively to diverse corporate and civil-society stakeholders.
  • Proactive, self-directed mindset with a willingness to travel for high-impact meetings and on-ground activations.
  • Location: Based in Uganda or available for remote collaborative work within similar time zones.
