Job Summary

Catalyst Now is seeking a Partnerships Fellow to support fundraising, partnership development, grant coordination, and operational activities.
The successful candidate will provide essential support to ensure funding opportunities are identified, assessed, and managed effectively. The role will involve supporting grant applications, maintaining donor records, coordinating partnership activities, preparing documents, and tracking important deadlines.
The Partnerships Fellow will play a key role in ensuring fundraising processes remain organised, partners receive professional support, and Catalyst Now successfully delivers commitments to donors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Grant Opportunity Scouting & Assessment
  • Research and identify relevant grant and funding opportunities aligned with Catalyst Now’s objectives.
  • Assess potential opportunities based on organisational priorities before recommending them.
  • Maintain an updated funding calendar and proactively highlight upcoming deadlines.
  • Support partnership research and donor engagement activities.
2. Proposal Writing & Grant Submissions
  • Prepare first drafts of grant proposals, concept notes, and funding application sections.
  • Compile all required supporting documents before submission.
  • Ensure grant applications are completed accurately and submitted within deadlines.
  • Support the preparation of fundraising materials and donor communications.
3. Partnership Pipeline & Administration
  • Maintain updated donor databases, partnership records, and funding pipelines.
  • Ensure CRM systems, spreadsheets, and documentation platforms are regularly updated.
  • Track partnership agreements, invoices, payments, and commitments.
  • Flag outstanding actions and risks requiring attention.
4. Internal Coordination & Support
  • Coordinate meetings with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Manage meeting logistics, schedules, and required documentation.
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and meeting materials.
  • Record and circulate meeting minutes within agreed timelines.
  • Track action points and ensure teams remain informed about deadlines.

Key Working Relationships

The Partnerships Fellow will work closely with:
  • Fundraising Specialist.
  • Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Team.
  • Programme and Secretariat staff.
  • External funders and strategic partners.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent organisational and coordination abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Experience working with CRMs, spreadsheets, and document management systems.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and communicate it effectively.
  • Ability to develop strategic engagement plans for individuals and organisations.
  • Strong pipeline management and stakeholder coordination skills.

Experience Required

The ideal candidate should have experience in:

Minimum Experience: 12 Months
