Financial Accountant

• Job Title: Financial Accountant
• Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
• Core Systems: QuickBooks Online, Mobile Money, and Cash Ledger Systems

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain flawless, accurate financial records and ensure all daily transactions are fully captured in QuickBooks Online.
• Billing & Sales Processing: Efficiently manage customer invoicing, track client deposits, and oversee accurate sales postings.
• Multi-Channel Reconciliations: Perform and support meticulous reconciliations across corporate bank accounts, mobile money platforms, cash books, and individual client accounts, proactively resolving any discrepancies.
• Asset & Budget Management: Maintain the company’s fixed asset register and assist management with routine budgeting and financial variance analysis.
• Compliance & Audit Prep: Ensure impeccable record keeping, secure physical/digital documentation, and ensure complete compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Professional Certification: CPA or ACCA qualification is required (either fully completed or actively in progress).
• Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in corporate accounting, balancing accounts, or financial reporting.
• Software Mastery: High proficiency in QuickBooks Online or highly similar cloud-based accounting software.
• Key Competencies: Strong attention to detail, robust understanding of core accounting principles, excellent communication skills, high professional integrity, and a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
