Job Overview Summary

  • Project: ChAdOx1 Ebola BDBV (Recombinant) Vaccine Trial
  • Reports to: Community Liaison Officer
  • Station: Masaka
  • Deadline: 31st July 2026, 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Mobilization & Recruitment: Identify, mobilize, and recruit potential participants for the vaccine trial.
  • Participant Tracking & Retention: Maintain accurate records, track participants who miss appointments, and manage follow-ups.
  • Informed Consent & Communication: Provide study details to participants, address concerns, and support the consent process.
  • Logistics & Records: Support participant referrals, transport arrangements, and maintain study registers/filing systems.
Person Specifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, Human Resource Management, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Licensing & Skills: Must possess a valid motorcycle riding licence and be an experienced rider with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Added Advantages: GCP training, a certificate in defensive riding, knowledge of research ethics, and previous clinical trial or community research experience.
  • Competencies: Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
