Job Purpose
The Branch Business Manager will be responsible for driving branch profitability, growing business volumes, managing operations, ensuring compliance, and leading a high-performing team to achieve branch strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Branch Business Growth & Revenue Management
  • Grow, retain branch business and ensure revenue collection
  • Increase profitability through effective business development strategies
  • Interact with customers to promote bank products and pricing
2. Policy & Operational Compliance
  • Implement bank policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with credit and operational risk frameworks
  • Maintain high-quality asset and liability portfolios to reduce NPAs
3. Cost & Budget Management
  • Manage branch operations within approved budgets
  • Control costs and ensure efficient use of branch resources
  • Ensure proper oversight of branch assets
4. Team Leadership & People Management
  • Motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing branch team
  • Identify staff training needs and support development plans
  • Manage staff performance and leave schedules
  • Submit timely Balanced Scorecard (BSC) reports
5. Credit & Risk Management
  • Ensure accurate and timely appraisal of customer applications
  • Monitor and reconcile suspense accounts and general ledger entries
  • Conduct snap checks in line with operational manuals
  • Ensure strong credit and operational risk compliance
6. Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement
  • Conduct business forums and periodic client visits
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts effectively
7. Branch Operations & Administration
  • Oversee daily branch operations and service delivery standards
  • Ensure safety and maintenance of branch assets
  • Provide effective administrative oversight for all branch staff
8. Service Delivery & Performance Monitoring
  • Implement and monitor service standards across the branch
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality customer service delivery
  • Control operational efficiency within branch processes
9. Reporting & Reconciliation
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of suspense and general ledger accounts
  • Monitor branch performance reports and operational records
  • Ensure timely submission of required reports
10. Additional Duties
  • Perform any other duties assigned from time to time
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
Applicants should possess:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field
  • Sales leadership training is an added advantage
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in banking, including:
    • 2 years in business banking
    • 2 years in relationship management
    • 1 year in operations
    • 1 year in customer service
