Job Summary

The Volunteer Campus Ambassador will represent Africa Youth Forum International within university and youth communities by creating awareness, mobilising participants, supporting communication activities, and assisting with event coordination.
The successful candidate will help promote the summit, engage students and young people, support registration activities, share information across campus networks, and contribute to the smooth execution of summit activities.

Key Responsibilities

Campus Outreach and Mobilisation
  • Promote the High-Level Youth Dialogue with Policy-Makers Summit within universities, colleges, and youth networks.
  • Create awareness about AYFI programmes, activities, and opportunities.
  • Mobilise students and young people to participate in summit activities.
  • Share event updates, registration information, and announcements.
  • Build relationships with student leaders, clubs, associations, and youth groups.
Communication and Digital Engagement
  • Support communication campaigns before, during, and after the summit.
  • Share approved content through campus networks and online platforms.
  • Assist in creating awareness materials and promotional messages.
  • Provide feedback on youth interests, engagement levels, and communication needs.
  • Support social media engagement and online outreach activities.
Event Support and Coordination
  • Assist with planning and implementation of summit activities.
  • Support participant registration and information desk activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to participants during events.
  • Assist speakers, delegates, and guests where required.
  • Support logistics and administrative activities during the summit.
Research and Documentation Support
  • Assist in collecting feedback from participants and youth communities.
  • Support preparation of event reports and documentation.
  • Conduct basic research on youth issues, leadership, governance, and development topics.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Support data collection activities assigned by the organising team.
Teamwork and Professional Representation
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers, AYFI staff, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Represent AYFI professionally within campus communities.
  • Participate in volunteer meetings, training sessions, and briefings.
  • Follow organisational guidelines and event procedures.
  • Complete assigned duties within agreed timelines.

Qualifications and Requirements
