JOB OPPORTUNITY – BUTCHERS (5 POSITIONS)

Organisation: Hugamara Group
Duty Station: Kampala – Central Kitchen
Hugamara Group is currently seeking to recruit five (05) skilled Butchers to join its Central Kitchen operations.
We are looking for experienced professionals who can handle high-volume meat processing while maintaining strict hygiene, quality, and food safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cut, debone, trim, and portion different types of meat including beef, poultry, lamb, and fish according to company standards.
  • Carry out meat marination and seasoning based on approved recipes and production requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
  • Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times.
  • Clean, maintain, and ensure proper handling of butchery equipment and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate or training in Butchery, Food Production, or a related field is an added advantage.
  • 2 to 4 years of proven experience in professional butchery operations.
  • Strong knowledge of meat handling, processing, and storage practices.
  • Experience in high-volume hospitality kitchens or central kitchen environments is highly preferred.
