Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) is hiring for a Warehouse Coordinator role.
Reports To
Warehouse Manager – Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL)
About the Role
This role sits within Supply Chain & Manufacturing and is responsible for managing warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, logistics coordination, and SAP system transactions.
The role ensures efficient movement of goods from inbound to outbound processes while maintaining strict compliance, safety, and quality standards.
Role Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Quality Control
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock aging, FIFO compliance, batch picking, and expiries
  • Manage SLOBs (slow, obsolete, and damaged stock)
  • Ensure accurate stock tracking and quality control
Coordination and Planning
  • Implement warehouse capacity planning and space optimization
  • Manage daily warehouse operations and layout configuration
  • Ensure efficient workflow and KPI achievement
Inventory Reconciliations
  • Reconcile physical stock vs system stock (SAP)
  • Investigate and document variances
  • Enforce inventory accuracy and controls
Warehouse Safety
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings
  • Identify hazards and enforce PPE usage
  • Carry out safety inspections and corrective actions
Controls and Compliance
  • Ensure accurate real-time SAP postings
  • Track daily stock movements
  • Maintain compliance with internal and external policies
Warehouse Hygiene
  • Maintain hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations
  • Ensure proper storage and handling practices
Audits
  • Lead internal and external audits
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong accounting and supply chain knowledge
  • 5 years’ experience in FMCG inventory/warehouse management
  • Strong SAP system experience (Super User level)
  • Experience in logistics operations is an added advantage
