MUKWANO INDUSTRIES JOB VACANCY 2026 – PRODUCTION / PLANT SUPERVISOR JOB UGANDA
Mukwano Industries is recruiting qualified candidates for a Production / Plant Supervisory role in its manufacturing operations.
JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION / PLANT SUPERVISOR – MANUFACTURING JOB UGANDA 2026
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (MANUFACTURING JOB UGANDA / PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR JOB UGANDA)
  • Allocate and monitor work assigned to subordinates to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to subordinates in the plant.
  • Monitor inventory levels and prepare requisitions for raw materials and spare parts.
  • Prepare and submit daily production reports accurately and on time.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance to ensure timely execution and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure efficient plant utilization while adhering to company quality standards and production planning.
  • Monitor worker performance during production and ensure adherence to productivity and quality targets.
  • Enter production data into the Enterprise Resource Application (ERP system).
  • Ensure proper housekeeping practices are maintained in production areas.
  • In consultation with the Production Officer / Manager, determine and implement efficient production methods.
  • Ensure products are produced on time and meet required quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality control programs.
  • Select and maintain equipment in coordination with managers to achieve company objectives.
  • Implement health and safety guidelines to protect employees, materials, and machinery.
  • Identify training needs and provide skill development for staff.
  • Communicate company issues effectively to line management and promote team spirit.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Production Officer / Manufacturing Manager / Business Unit Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (INDUSTRIAL JOBS UGANDA 2026)
Education
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Production Management
    • or related discipline
SKILLS REQUIRED (FACTORY / PRODUCTION JOB UGANDA)
  • Strong communication skills (including reading and reporting skills)
  • Basic mathematical ability
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Ability to work in high or industrial environments
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Strategic planning and production planning skills
  • Team building skills
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Environmental management compliance awareness
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing or recycling plant
  • Preferably experience in a supervisory production role
