Partnerships & Capture Lead – Innovation Village Group

• Build and manage a structured, prioritized pipeline of institutional opportunities.
• Track opportunities across public procurement portals, DFIs, UN agencies, and donor platforms.
• Continuously assess and prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit and organizational capability.

• Lead capture planning for priority opportunities.
• Conduct counterpart mapping and develop win strategies.
• Design consortiums, partnerships, and teaming arrangements.
• Coordinate pricing strategy with finance teams.

• Direct the end-to-end development of bids, EOIs, concept notes, and investment memoranda.
• Ensure all submissions are compliant, competitive, and delivered on time.
• Maintain executive-level quality in all proposal outputs.

• Develop and manage relationships with DFIs, governments, multilaterals, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Create structured partnership plans for key institutional counterparts.
• Transition relationships from initial engagement to formal agreements or programs.

• Continuously scan funding calls, procurement notices, and policy developments.
• Translate intelligence into actionable opportunities for leadership review.
• Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Maintain the opportunity tracker as the single source of truth.
• Run structured pipeline review meetings with senior leadership.
• Report on pipeline value, conversion rates, and win performance.

• A fully qualified and prioritized institutional pipeline across all group entities.
• Increased submission volume and improved win rates on institutional bids.
• 3–5 anchor institutional partnerships transitioned into active agreements or programs.
• A standardized capture and proposal playbook embedded across the organization.
• Reduced dependency on executive leadership for routine bid production.

• 8+ years of experience in business development, capture management, partnerships, or institutional fundraising.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or senior role.
• Proven track record of winning competitive tenders or securing funding from:
  • World Bank
  • African Development Bank (AfDB)
  • Islamic Development Bank (IsDB)
  • UN agencies
  • DFIs, bilateral donors, or major foundations
• Strong understanding of public procurement and development finance systems.
• Exceptional writing and proposal development skills.
• Strong stakeholder management experience with senior-level decision-makers.
• Highly organized, systems-oriented, and process-driven.
• Strong knowledge of the East African institutional ecosystem is preferred.
