Job Summary
The Field Head of Marketing is responsible for planning and executing field marketing initiatives that drive customer acquisition, brand visibility, market penetration, and business growth. The role involves managing activations, events, agent recruitment, territory expansion, and field teams while ensuring strong customer engagement and effective campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities
Field Marketing Strategy & Execution
  • Execute field marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and market penetration.
  • Implement promotional campaigns aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate field-based marketing activities across assigned territories.
Brand Awareness & Customer Engagement
  • Drive customer engagement initiatives to strengthen brand awareness and visibility.
  • Organize and manage activations, roadshows, branch visits, and promotional events.
  • Enhance customer experience through direct market interactions and outreach programs.
Market Expansion & Territory Development
  • Expand market reach and increase territory coverage.
  • Identify new opportunities for business growth and customer acquisition.
  • Support initiatives aimed at increasing product adoption and market share.
Agent Recruitment & Team Leadership
  • Lead and support field marketing teams and agents.
  • Manage agent recruitment activities to strengthen the distribution network.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance support to field personnel.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Monitor sales performance, customer acquisition, agent recruitment, and marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze field marketing results and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare reports and updates on campaign effectiveness and market performance.
Market Research & Intelligence
  • Collect customer feedback and market intelligence.
  • Monitor competitor activities and emerging market trends.
  • Provide insights to support strategic marketing and product development decisions.
Resource Management
  • Manage field marketing resources, promotional materials, and campaign assets.
  • Ensure proper utilization of marketing budgets and materials.
  • Maintain accountability for field marketing equipment and resources.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field.
  • Professional training in Marketing Research, Strategic Planning, Product Development, Actuarial Practice, Product Risk Analysis, Stress Testing, or a related discipline is an added advantage.
  • Membership in professional marketing bodies such as:
    • Uganda Marketers Society (UMS)
    • Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
    • Other recognized marketing associations
Experience Required
  • 2–5 years of experience in a similar marketing, business development, or field operations role.
  • Experience managing field teams, activations, customer acquisition campaigns, and agent networks is highly desirable.

The officer serves as a key link between the company, agents, and customers while supporting revenue growth and market expansion objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new agents.
  • Conduct agent registration and training activities.
  • Ensure agents understand company products, services, and operational procedures.
  • Support rapid expansion of the agent network.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Development
