Job Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion for confectionery products produced by the Sweet Factory. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, monitoring market trends, ensuring efficient product distribution, and maximizing sales revenue while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
The position requires a proactive and results-oriented individual capable of achieving sales targets, generating market intelligence, managing customer accounts, and supporting the organization’s business growth objectives.

Overall Purpose of the Job

To handle the sales and distribution of confectionery products and maximize sales performance through customer acquisition, relationship management, market development, and effective sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development
  • Promote and sell confectionery products to customers.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities.
  • Expand customer base and increase market penetration.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue objectives.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and follow-up activities.
2. Customer Relationship Management
  • Provide excellent customer care and support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Identify and evaluate creditworthy customers.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain long-term customer loyalty and retention.
3. Market Research & Intelligence
  • Monitor market trends and customer preferences.
  • Gather information about competitor products and activities.
  • Prepare and submit market intelligence reports.
  • Identify opportunities for product growth and expansion.
  • Provide management with accurate market feedback.
4. Sales Administration
  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers.
  • Generate delivery notes for dispatched products.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and documentation.
  • Ensure proper filing and record management.
  • Monitor customer accounts and transactions.
5. Cash & Payment Management
  • Collect payments from customers.
  • Bank receipted cash and cheques received from sales.
  • Reconcile invoices, delivery notes, and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures.
  • Report payment discrepancies when identified.
6. Reporting & Compliance
  • Submit regular sales performance reports.
  • Report unusual sales activities and market developments.
  • Escalate issues involving defaulting customers.
  • Maintain compliance with company sales policies.
  • Support sales forecasting and planning activities.
