POSITION
Sales Account Executive
JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Account Executive will drive Uganda Airlines’ business growth through proactive sales activities, customer relationship management, and market development initiatives. The role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, maintaining strong customer satisfaction, and achieving revenue growth targets.
The successful candidate will contribute to rapid and sustainable business growth by expanding market share, strengthening client relationships, and promoting Uganda Airlines' products and services.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
• Define and implement periodic sales plans to achieve assigned sales targets.
• Drive passenger revenue generation within assigned territories and market segments.
• Execute sales strategies aimed at surpassing allocated revenue targets.
• Protect existing business while identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
• Increase Uganda Airlines' market share and commercial performance.
Business Development
• Analyze market potential and identify prospective customers.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
• Research and evaluate market opportunities to support business expansion.
• Identify new customer segments and revenue-generating opportunities.
• Promote Uganda Airlines products and services to maximize market awareness.
Customer Relationship Management
• Establish, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Conduct regular client meetings to present new products, services, and promotional offers.
• Implement customer retention and loyalty strategies.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
• Build relationships with corporate clients, travel management companies (TMCs), and industry stakeholders.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
• Conduct market research to identify customer needs and industry trends.
• Analyze competitor products, pricing, and sales strategies.
• Gather and consolidate market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
• Recommend improvements to products and services based on market insights.
Commercial Negotiations & Contract Management
• Negotiate commercial agreements with corporate accounts and trade partners.
• Draft and coordinate contractual agreements with intermediaries and customers.
• Manage existing corporate contracts and oversee contract renewals.
• Negotiate new corporate agreements with Travel Management Companies (TMCs).
• Participate in Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
• Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and guidelines.
Marketing & Promotional Activities
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales promotion strategies.
• Support sales campaigns and product awareness initiatives.
• Communicate promotional offers and product updates to customers and intermediaries.
• Participate in trade exhibitions, industry events, seminars, and networking forums.
• Conduct product training sessions for corporate clients and travel partners.
• Participate in familiarization trips and other airline promotional activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality Management, Tourism, Aviation Management, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a sales environment, preferably within:
  • Airline Industry

  • Hospitality Industry
  • Tourism Industry
