Loan Consultant
Reports To: Branch Manager

JOB PURPOSE
The Loan Consultant serves as the face of Unifi and is often the first point of contact for clients. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, guiding clients through the loan application process, building long-term relationships, and contributing to branch performance through sales, collections, and operational excellence.
This role goes beyond processing loans—it is about creating positive client experiences, building trust, and ensuring every customer is treated with dignity and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service & Client Engagement
• Welcome clients warmly and guide them through the loan application process.
• Explain loan products clearly and ensure clients understand all terms and conditions.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Promote Unifi products and services to potential and existing clients.
Loan Processing & Administration
• Capture client information accurately and maintain complete documentation.
• Verify and process loan applications in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure client records are updated, accurate, and securely maintained.
• Follow established operational procedures and compliance requirements.
Cash Handling & Record Management
• Handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately.
• Maintain proper accountability for cash, receipts, and client records.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and branch procedures.
Sales & Business Growth
• Achieve individual and branch performance targets.
• Drive sales through customer engagement and relationship building.
• Identify opportunities to grow the client portfolio and increase branch performance.
• Contribute actively to business development initiatives.
Collections & Account Management
• Follow up on outstanding client accounts.
• Support collections activities and assist clients in identifying suitable repayment solutions.
• Maintain professional relationships while managing overdue accounts.
Branch Operations
• Support daily branch operations and maintain branch standards.
• Contribute to a clean, organized, and professional working environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve branch objectives.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve operational processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in:
  • Banking and Finance
  • Business Administration
  • Marketing
  • Commerce
  • Related Commercial Field
• Minimum of 1 year experience in:
  • Customer Service
  • Retail Sales
  • Financial Services
  • Customer-Facing Roles
• Basic understanding of financial and credit concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
