JOB DESCRIPTION: LUBRICANTS MARKET DEVELOPERS

POSITION
Lubricants Market Developers
REPORTS TO
Lubricants Sales Manager

JOB PURPOSE
As Lubricants Market Developers, they will be the face of Castrol in the market. Their core mission is to drive visibility, adoption, and retention.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Coverage & Customer Management
• Manage a territory of over 100 outlets (shops, garages, hardware stores, fuel stations).
• Onboard, convert, and retain customers.
• Achieve a target of 20 new clients per month.
Visibility & Stocking
• Ensure Castrol visibility across all assigned outlets.
• Advocate that at least 1 in every 3 shops stocks Castrol products on their shelves.
• Convert independent fuel stations to stock Castrol on their forecourts.
Training & Activation
• Train clients and mechanics in proper use of automotive lubricants.
• Carry out brand activations and promotions in your assigned market.
Intelligence & Reporting
• Collect competitor intelligence (pricing, new products, promotions).
• Share weekly updates on market trends, challenges, and achievements.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education, Training, Skills & Experience
• Highly motivated, outgoing, and street-smart individuals encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates and diploma holders with a hunger for sales are strongly encouraged.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
• UACE (A-Level), Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Must be willing to work in the field.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned region.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
