JOB OPPORTUNITY – SALES REPRESENTATIVE

JOB SUMMARY

A growing construction supplies and building materials company is seeking a motivated, results-oriented, and professional Sales Representative to join its team in Kampala.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling construction products, building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets within the market.
Candidates with experience in construction materials, hardware, cement, steel, paint, plumbing, electrical products, or related sectors are highly encouraged to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and sell building materials and construction supplies to contractors, developers, hardware stores, and individual customers.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and successfully close sales transactions.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries and coordinate timely delivery of products.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned monthly sales targets.
  • Conduct market research and monitor competitor activities within the industry.
  • Prepare regular sales performance reports and customer feedback updates.
  • Work closely with operations and finance teams to support efficient order processing and payment collection.
  • Represent the company professionally in the market and maintain high customer service standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in sales.
  • Experience in construction materials, hardware, cement, steel, paint, plumbing, electrical supplies, or related industries is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently achieve sales targets.
  • Good organizational, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possession of a valid driving license is an added advantage.
