Position Overview

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and retain a minimum of 15 active Sales Agents within the assigned unit.
• Build a strong and productive insurance sales team.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and performance support to Sales Agents.
• Monitor agent activities and productivity levels.
• Support agents in achieving individual and team sales goals.
• Maintain a motivated and results-oriented workforce.

2. Sales Performance and Target Achievement

• Ensure achievement of Unit sales targets including:
  • Monthly Premium Income (MPI)
  • Case Count
  • Annual Premium Income (API)
  • Policy Persistence Rates
• Monitor sales performance and identify improvement areas.
• Develop strategies to increase insurance business volumes.
• Track agent performance and provide regular reports.
• Implement corrective actions to improve sales results.

3. Agent Training and Development

• Conduct continuous training for Sales Agents on:
  • General insurance products
  • Insurance sales techniques
  • Underwriting guidelines
  • Operational procedures
  • Customer service standards
• Ensure agents understand CIC products and processes.
• Support professional development of the sales team.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to improve agent performance.

4. Market Strategy and Business Development

• Conduct local market research to identify business opportunities.
• Analyze customer needs and market trends.
• Recommend product improvements to the Agency Manager.
• Develop strategies to increase brand awareness.
• Coordinate promotional and marketing activities.
• Identify potential customers and business partnerships.

5. Regulatory Compliance and Ethics Management

• Ensure Sales Agents comply with:
  • Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) regulations
  • CIC policies and procedures
  • Code of Ethics
• Monitor agent conduct and professional standards.
• Recommend disciplinary action where agents violate regulatory requirements.
• Promote ethical insurance practices within the unit.
• Maintain accurate compliance records.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Business Administration
  • Insurance
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Economics
  • Related business field

Professional Certifications

• Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance (COP)
• Valid IRA Agent License

Professional Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the insurance sector.
