Operating from its rehabilitation and education center in Masese, Jinja, Imprint Hope delivers evidence-based programs that promote Integral Human Development while prioritizing the dignity, safety, and wellbeing of children and their families.
Through Q-Sourcing Servtec, Imprint Hope is seeking a compassionate and experienced Trauma Counselor to strengthen its psychosocial support services.

Job Summary

The Trauma Counselor will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychosocial support services to children with disabilities and their caregivers. The successful candidate will deliver individual, family, and group counseling, implement trauma-informed therapeutic interventions, conduct psychosocial assessments, and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning.
Working closely with the Clinical Psychologist and other professionals, the Trauma Counselor will help strengthen resilience, improve emotional wellbeing, and promote holistic family support through culturally appropriate and ethical counseling practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Counseling and Psychosocial Support
The successful candidate will:
  • Provide individual counseling sessions.

2. Client Assessment and Treatment Planning
Responsibilities include:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
  • Evaluate emotional, psychological, and social needs.
  • Identify client strengths and challenges.

  • Set achievable therapeutic goals.
  • Monitor client progress throughout treatment.
3. Trauma-Informed Care
The Trauma Counselor will:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Guidance and Counseling.

  • Additional training in Trauma-Informed Care is highly desirable.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of counseling experience.

  • Experience in community-based development projects is an added advantage.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities is an added advantage.
  • Experience within NGOs is desirable.
