Job Summary
ThinkX Software Ltd is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-driven Software Project Manager / Delivery Manager to coordinate software projects, client customizations, development activities, testing, deployments, and client acceptance.
The successful candidate will serve as the link between clients, developers, technical teams, and management, ensuring that project requirements are clearly understood, tasks are properly assigned, deadlines are monitored, and software solutions are delivered on time.

About the Role
The Software Project Manager / Delivery Manager will take ownership of the project delivery process from requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and client acceptance.
The position requires someone who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, follow up consistently with technical teams, identify risks early, communicate effectively with clients, and maintain accurate project documentation.
The role is based in Naalya, Kira Municipality, Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
1. Software Project Coordination
- Coordinate multiple software projects and client customizations.
- Monitor project activities from initiation through completion.
- Ensure project activities remain aligned with agreed requirements and timelines.
- Coordinate developers, testers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure projects progress according to agreed schedules.
2. Requirements Gathering and Documentation
- Capture and document client requirements accurately.
- Clarify requirements with clients and technical teams.
- Translate client needs into clear tasks and project requirements.
- Maintain updated project documentation.
- Ensure agreed requirements are communicated to the relevant development teams.
3. Task and Deadline Management
- Plan, assign, and track project tasks.
- Monitor deadlines, priorities, and deliverables.
- Follow up with developers and other team members on outstanding tasks.
- Identify delays and take appropriate action.
- Ensure team members understand their responsibilities and timelines.
4. Developer and Technical Team Coordination
The Delivery Manager will work closely with developers and technical teams to keep projects moving.
Responsibilities include:
- Follow up on development tasks.
- Identify and help remove project blockers.
- Coordinate communication between technical teams and clients.
- Monitor development progress.
- Escalate technical or operational issues when necessary.

5. Testing, UAT and Deployment

8. Risk and Issue Management
- Identify project risks and potential delays at an early stage.

9. Process Improvement
- Help improve software delivery processes.

Qualifications and Experience
Education

Professional Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in project management, software delivery, product operations, IT coordination, or a similar role.
